208 was gettable, sloppiness cost us the game, says Maxwell

CHASING SUNRISERS HYDERABAD’S massive 208 total, Kings XI Punjab fell short of 26 runs and succumbed to their fifth loss in eight games.

KXIP skipper Glenn Maxwell believed that the target was gettable, however, sloppiness with the ball cost them the game. The Aussie batsman said,

“It was chase-able. We were sloppy with the ball and in the field. We bowled either side of the wicket. There were a few soft dismissals in isolation. If you put together it looks bad.”

Maxwell showered praise on Shaun Marsh whose brilliant 50 ball 84 went in vain.

“Marsh was absolute class, he was striking the ball beautifully. He has done it for Kings XI for 10 seasons. It is a quick turnaround for us. At least we will be at home and turn up next game.”

The Punjab franchise will play Delhi Daredevils on April 29 in Punjab.
