Play-by-Play: Mohun Bagan edge arch rivals East Bengal, register a thrilling 2-1 victory

A BRILLIANT 2-1 WIN propelled Mohun Bagan over arch rivals East Bengal in a pulsating Kolkata Derby propelled the Mariners back into the I-League title race. 

Star winger Sony Norde and young striker Azharuddin Mallick both scored a goal apiece in the first half and it was enough for MB as they regularly outclassed East Bengal throughout the game. Towards the end Rowllin Borges got a goal back for East Bengal but it was too late for the Red and Golds to make a comeback.
