UNSEEDED AJAY JAYARAM showed amazing skills and shots to overpower 4th seed Viktor Axelsen in the second round of Malaysia Superseries Premier. Ajay is the only Indian in the tournament and he continues to be so.
After a terrible start to the match, losing the opening game 9-21, Ajay showed great grit and determination to come back and win the following two games 21-14, 21-19 to put the India SS winner out of the tournament.
This sets him up for a quarter-final clash against another seeded and higher ranked shuttler, Son Wan Ho. If he continues this good run, it will be a great boost to his confidence as he hasn't be performing to his best potential in the recent past.
