KKR replace suspended Andre Russell with Colin de Grandhomme
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS have roped in New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme as a replacement for suspended Andre Russell for the upcoming season of IPL, starting April 5. The West Indies all-rounder has been banned for one year following violation of whereabouts clause pertaining anti-doping rules.
De Granndhomme, who has earned six T20 caps for the national side, featured in their only T20 game against South Africa this year. The 30-year-old scored 15 runs and picked two wickets at an economy rate of 7.33.
He will be a part of the KKR squad that will take on Gujarat Lions in their opening game on April 7 at Rajkot.
