WWE Fastlane 2017 results: New Universal Champion crowned, The Streak ends
WWE’s last pay-per-view stop before WrestleMania happened this Sunday night in the form of Fastlane. The show had its fair share of surprising booking decisions and it has laid the foundation well for WrestleMania as well.
Bayley ends the streak
The undefeated pay-per-view streak of Charlotte came to an end at Fastlane when Bayley got the better of her. Bayley managed to retain the Women’s championship and heading to WrestleMania, the championship scene has been shaken up and with Sasha Banks getting a win over Nia Jax, it should be interesting to see what WWE has in plans for the four women.
Roman Reigns stops Strowman
Another high profile match that WWE showcased on Fastlane was between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Strowman went into the match as the favourite, but it was Reigns that walked out with the win. WWE’s strong backing of Reigns was once again evident in the match, and the future of Strowman is something that the fans would be worried about from now.

Goldberg became the new WWE Universal champion to mixed reactions. The match was short and it also helped to put forward the friction between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. Goldberg having the title can now make the Goldberg – Lesnar match more intriguing as a huge prize would be up for grabs.
