Unfit Rohit Sharma left out from Mumbai squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy

INDIA BATSMAN Rohit Sharma has been excluded from Mumbai squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, scheduled to get underway on February 25 in Chennai.

Sharma’s sticky patch doesn’t seem to end. The prolific batsman’s last international match was the fifth ODI against New Zealand, held on October 29 at Vizag. After suffering a thigh injury during the game, Sharma subsequently underwent a surgery in London.

Since then, the Mumbai-lad has undergone recuperation and has missed out on a lot of international cricket. And, as reported by cricketcountry, the flamboyant batsman isn’t fully fit to feature in the upcoming tournament. 

The Mumbai squad, which includes 14 names for the 50-over format campaign, is set to lock horns with Gujarat on February 25.
