As promised, India beat Singapore with ease; heads towards the QF of BAMTC
THE INDIAN TEAM began their campaign with a win over Singapore as assured by HS Prannoy at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships held in Vietnam.

They trumped Singapore 4-1 with a surprise defeat from the in-form mixed doubles duo of Pranaav Jerry Chopra/Sikki Reddy. They lost to Yong Hee/Wee Tan 21-23, 17-21.
But the following shuttlers took all the matches to their name and led India to the quarter finals. Sameer Verma defeated Kean Loh 21-9, 21-16; Manu Attri/Sumeeth Reddy beat H Wijaya / D Chrisnanta 21-12, 21-17; youngster Rituparna Das showed class as she defeated X Liang 23-21 21-18 and finally women's doubles duo of Sikki/Ashwini Ponnappa beat Ren-Ne Ong/Jia Wong 19-21, 21-17, 21-17.
They take on the mighty Koreans (seeded 2) later today.
