PRE-MATCH QUIPS- Sanjoy says Bagan will try to win the game; Kashyap says will continue playing attacking football

A GOALLESS KOLKATA DERBY meant two dropped points for the top most teams in the points table. The title race is that close that no team can afford to drop points to let the advantage slip to the other teams.

Mohun Bagan will look to continue their unbeaten streak in the I-league but adding more misery to Mumbai FC who as on streak of their own but their's is a losing streak. Mumbai FC have lost 6 matches on the run.

Sanjoy Sen, Head coach of Mohun Bagan said he is expecting a fight from the depleted Mumbai side. He added,

"The match versus Mumbai will not be an easy one, it will be tough, but we will try to win it"

Paying no heed to history of match results at the Cooperage, Sen emphasised that his team are looking to get maximum points in order to keep pressure on the league leaders. He said,

"We don’t believe what has happened in the past. It is a new season, and with some new additions, we are looking for a win,"

The Mohun Bagan coach sounded confident about a positive result in tomorrow’s match and stated that the so-called “smaller teams” will definitely improve and tomorrow’s game will be no different in the way they approach a difficult match.

Santosh Kashyap, on his side's poor results in the league said,

"We are in a very bad phase. It happens when we have limitations in budget and players, and we want to achieve something extraordinary,” said Santosh Kashyap, Mumbai coach on the side’s aim this season."

The Mumbai FC coach, said his policy of playing attacking every game has cost them dearly but refused to change that in the upcoming game,

"Away games are tough and I believe in playing attacking football, and in that, we lost the matches. At home, we have an advantage and we will try to take the full advantage — try to win all three matches."

Having set an aim for the team to finish in the top three this season, said he still believes the target is achievable and will stand by that,

"We will try to finish in the top-3 and that has not changed,” Kashyap expressed. “We have ten matches remaining from now on till the end of the season, and we will definitely try to achieve our target."
