Kings XI Punjab appoint Satish Menon as CEO and Rajeev Khanna as COO for IPL 2017
KINGS XI PUNJAB has appointed Satish Menon as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Rajeev Khanna as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the franchise for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL).
As reported by PTI, the Punjab franchise stated,
"Satish and Rajeev were a natural choice for the roles of CEO and COO based on the expertise in their respective fields. We are confident that their rich experience will bring immense value to the team."
It is understood that Menon is a veteran in the media business with a total experience of 35 years comprising print, television and sports marketing. He has been at the helm of business with the likes of Mid-day, Zee TV, Zee News, Sahara television and TV 18 (Sport 18).
Meanwhile, Rajeev, who is a lawyer by profession, has over 16 years of experience in the sports industry. He has previously headed operations for now-defunct Rajasthan Royals.
