For 90 mins Sony Norde will be his enemy, vows East Bengal striker Wedson Anselme

A FEW DAYS AGO Mohun Bagan star winger Sony Norde had declared that he would avoid having dinner with close friend and former teammate Wedson Anselme, who is an East Bengal striker. Well, Wedson has made it clear that the feeling is very much mutual.

Speaking to reporters, the Haitian forward made it clear where he stood,

"Outside the field Sony Norde is my friend. But for those 90 minutes he will be my enemy. Just like all other opponent players. I'm sure he's been saying the same thing."

He went on to clarify that it wasn't about him going up against Sony Norde but about ensuring victory for his club,

"The real fight is between the two teas... and to make sure my team wins I have to perform better than Sony Norde."

Wedson, who first came to India as Norde's teammate at Bangladeshi club Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi to take part in the 2014 edition of IFA Shield, is the toast of the Red and Gold brigade after scoring 5 goals in the league already; just one behind leading scorers Darryl Duffy (Mohun Bagan) and Aser Dipanda (Shillong Lajong).
