SF 1 Prediction: Saina vs Sindhu to highlight tonight's semi-final clash between Awadhe & Chennai; Warriors likely to take the tie

AWADHE WARRIORS TAKE ON CHENNAI SMASHERS in the first semi-final of Premier Badminton League tonight in Delhi.

Fans were deprived of a Saina vs Sindhu showdown during the league stage as the former rested herself to prepare for the knockouts. And today the fans stand a chance to witness the mega on-court fight.

The Smashers had won the league stage tie over the Warriors but Awadhe played without the likes of their star players. This would be the real test and challenge for both the sides.

The Trump match still continues to be there. Each team strategically selects one of the 5 matches that they play in a Tie as their Trump match. In a Trump match, a victory gives the team a bonus point and a loss gives it a negative point.

The difference is in the point system, from 15 points it is now 11 points game which will make it tricky and challenging for the teams.

TFG analyses and predicts the winner of the match based on a possible line-up of players, as the teams have to announce their team and Trump match only an hour before the game.

The Warriors have a stronger squad and are likely to be the first team in the finals of PBL 2017.

AWADHE WARRIORS vs CHENNAI SMASHERS

The following shuttlers are likely to play against each other in their respective categories; men's singles: Kidambi Srikanth (Awadhe) vs Tommy Sugiarto (Chennai); women's singles: Saina Nehwal (Awadhe) vs PV Sindhu (Chennai); men's doubles: Markis Kido/Goh V Shem (Awadhe) vs Mads Kolding/Chris Adcock (Chennai); mixed doubles: Bodin Issara/Savitree (Awadhe) vs Adcock couple (Chennai); men's singles: Vincent (Awadhe) vs Parupalli Kashyap (Chennai).

It remains to be seen which matches each team will nominate as their Trump match.
