FOREIGN ASSETS: East Bengal's foreigners are very much a part of the new Morgan dynasty

DOING ALL THEY CAN to end the I-League title draught running longer than a decade, East Bengal looked to reinforce their squad with some quality foreign signings this season.

The new head coach, Trevor James Morgan, was certainly on board with this plan. And he showd his intent by deciding not to retain a single foreign player from last season. Even the fan favourites Ranti Martins and Do Dong-hyun were let go.

Instead of looking for security in known faces, the Red and Golds have decided to bring in some fresh players, most of whom have never played in the country before. Morgan, who likes to work towards building a squad that can be trusted to deliver for seasons to come, is undoubtedly considering the overseas professionals as integral part of his plan; crucial components of the new dynasty he wants to establish at the club, just like he did in 2010.

Let's take a closer look at the four foreigners - a tall and imposing bunch, capable of indulging in East Bengal's dominating, physical style of play - who will wear the Red and Gold during their I-League and Federation Cup campaigns.
