Ashwin delivers another carrom ball; delays announcement of his baby-girl by five days
INDIA OFFIE Ravichandran Ashwin has had a sensational year with performances in Test series against West Indies, New Zealand and England. Recently, the veteran spinner was adjudged with the ICC Test cricketer of the year award and was also awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
After several impressive on-field accolades, the Chennai lad has also been bestowed with another good news to be on cloud nine. As announced by wife Prithi Ashwin on December 26, the couple have been blessed with a second child.
The baby girl was born on December 21 and Prithi intentionally delayed its announcement only to not take away the spot light from Ashwin’s ICC Test cricketer of the year achievement. Prithi took to her twitter handle to share the good news with the fans.
I delivered carrom baby #2 on the 21st. She waited out a State-wide shut down thanks to the cyclone AND 5 days of Test cricket at Chepauk👩👧
