Play by Play: Kerala claim second spot they will play Delhi in semis

GOALLESS AT HALFTIME was a good result even to finish off on that score. But they came into the second half a bit more attacking than the first. THe game was pretty even till the goal came. But the goal came as big blow to the spirts of the NorthEast and they looked dejected in their efforts thereafter.

The goal on the other hand gave Kerala the confidence to attack more freely and they did just that. Isfaq hit the post, Rehenesh drew some saves and Kerala were high on confidence. 

Kerala came close to scoring through Nazon in the first half. Both teams did not throw a lot of men in the attack. Kerala mainly thrusting forward on counter attacks and set pieces. NorthEast could not do much with a defensive setup of Kerala. NE also didn't want to concede so the attacks were mostly led by solo long ranger efforts rather than team build ups.

That one goal was enough to see them into semi-finals and take up the second position to play Delhi in the playoffs.
