Play by Pay: Mumbai finish as league leaders Delhi will be happier to not lose points

FIRST HALF WAS ALL MUMBAI RUNNING THE SHOW and kept most of the ball. Forlan had a crack at goal and it drew a save form Doblas. Defederico also had a shot on target but not with a lot of power behind it. Sehnaj towards the end of the first half took a try himself instead of playing playing to two team mates waiting inside the box. Doblas parried it away.

Delhi did not do enough to create any chance in the first half and Amrinder had an easy day between the sticks in the first half.

Second half began rather evenly controlled game by both team but not realy threatening moves. Mumbai made two the substitutions, Delhi too followed suit. And with those changes the tempo of the game picked up and the game saw the the goal frame being hit at both ends being hit in quick succession. Mumbai looked more solid up front and tried made multiple attempts most were either off target or weak shots on goal. Delhi lacked creative play that they usually bring to the ground, the reason was the rested players lie Marcelinho and Gadze and late introducton of Malouda.

A late throw of the dice to fetch a goal to win the game from both Coaches didnt work out. Last meeting between the two side could not pick a winner. This time around the result was the same. Mumbai finish the league on the top.
