Tonya Evinger successfully appeals Invicta 20 loss, Gets the Bantamweight title back

INVICTA FC 20 saw one of the biggest upsets in the promotion’s history when Yana Kunitskaya defeated Tonya Evinger for the Bantamweight championship.

Evinger had tapped out in the first round of the fight and before tapping out, Evinger was instructed by the referee to move her foot away from Kunitskaya’s face.

Evinger appealed regarding the incident and she noted on her Facebook that she was successful. The decision once again makes her the Bantamweight champion and it would be interesting to see where the whole situation goes from here.
