RUSSIAN YANA KUNITSKAYA shocked the world at Invicta FC 20 when she defeated Tony Evinger to become the new Bantamweight champion of Invicta. Kunitskaya, who came into the fight with a record of 9-2 to her name, defeated Evinger via an arm bar in the first round despite having a slow start. This marked the first defeat of Evinger in more than five years.
Elsewhere, in the co-main event of the night, Angela Hill retained her Strawweight championship by defeating Kaline Medeiros. Kaline, who earned the title shot against Hill after her solid win against India’s Manjit Kolekar, was seen struggling on numerous occasions of the fight.
