Play-by-Play: Late equaliser from ATK prevents NEUFC's ascent into top four, holds them to a draw

NORTHEAST DREW FIRST BLOOD in the exciting contest. Alfaro put Sereno under pressure close to his penalty area. Sereno played the ball to his keeper but anware of Velez's presence there. He rounds the keeper to slot home northeast's first and only goal of the match. After that it was ATK keeping the pressure on the the away side but NorthEast have managed to contain the attacks well.

Second half saw Northeast with some attacks early in the half. ATK picked up pace after that and kept pressing NorthEast for the equaliser. NorthEast did not defend and fluidly as they did in the first half. Alfaro came close to scoring from a header. Northeast were guilty of not holding the ball too much. Hanging on to slender lead was never going to be easy. All shots from ATK were going wayward but they kept knocking at the door and finally the NorthEast defence opened up from a Lara free kick. Postiga was at the end of that free kick to head it goal wards, it came to Hume who had simple task to head it down on goal and he did it perfectly to draw ATK level at the 90 minute mark. ATK stay in fourth place and NE move to 7th position.
