Tendulkar to take part in Kerala’s anti-narcotic campaign launch

ICONIC SACHIN TENDULKAR is said to participate in the state-level launch of ‘Vimukhti’, an awareness mission against liquor and narcotic abuse, on November 20. This initiative of the Kerala government is aimed at promoting abstinence and creating comprehensive awareness against drug abuse.

State Excise Minister T P Ramakrishnan confirmed Tendulkar’s participation for the inaugural of the awareness drive and stated that the Kerala Blasters FC co-owner’s persona will be effectively used to promote the campaign. 

"The state-level inauguration of the government's anti-liquor and narcotic campaign will be held on November 20. Sachin Tendulkar, who had already agreed to be part of the drive, will participate in the inaugural function.”  

Explaining the functioning of the ‘Vimukhti’ mission, the minister divulged that mass awareness programmes will be held against consumption of liquor, narcotic substance and nicotine and its allied products under the drive.
