Play by Play - Delhi Dynamos go top on points; Kerala Blasters deservedly sent home empty handed

LAST MEETING BETWEEN DELHI DYNAMOS FC AND KERALA BLASTERS FC ended in a goalless draw. First half presented both teams with equal chances to score at least a one clear chance eaach but none were clinical in front of goal. Chances fell to Marcelinho and Kadio. Altough Delhi looked more dangerous they did not closer than the Marcelinho chance. Kerala too never really threatened.

Second half saw an improved Delhi as they switched the ball between flanks even more than the first half and had more central penetration which lacked in both teams in the first period. Malouda led the charge with Lewis, Gadze and Marcelinho exchanging the passes well between them. The goals came in quick succession and Kerala, even with a triple substitution, had no answer to the blow received. Blasters lacked quality in their game play as they would only play long ball once the ball was won in their own half. First goal could have been avoided had keeper Nandy been bit more quick in either distributing or clearing that back pass but the second goal was great team work. Deserving three points for Delhi as they go top of the points table
