TFG Raw Review: Lesnar returns Contract signing, Triple Threat main event

THE LATEST EDITION OF Monday Night Raw was the home coming episode for Hell in a Cell and WWE did everything in their power to hype the pay-per-view.

Charlotte and Sasha Banks sign the contract

The Women’s championship match between Charlotte and Sasha Banks is one of the most awaited matches for Sunday night and WWE hyped the match with a contract signing segment. Rather than things getting physical, Sasha and Charlotte relied on vocal methods and had some help from General Manager Mick Foley as well.

Reigns and Rusev deliver promos

United States Championship showdown between Roman Reigns and Rusev was pushed with promos by both the superstars. The pre-recorded promos did a great job of showing the intensity of both Reigns and Rusev and at the same time, it protected both the superstars ahead of the match. Last week, Roman had suffered a huge beat down and it was a good idea to let him recover this week.

Triple Threat main event

Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens headlined the show this week. With Rollins and Owens set to face off on Sunday, the match had huge implications and WWE gave it a shocking ending as well. Jericho and Owens were on the same page throughout the match but it was Rollins that got the win. Rollins, however took a nasty bump after the match as he was power bombed onto the apron by Owens.

Lesnar returns

After the return of Goldberg last week, Lesnar returned on Raw this time around to respond to the former WCW champion. As expected, it was Paul Heyman that did all the talking and Heyman was not happy about how most of Lesnar’s home town fans were chanting for Goldberg. This was the center focus of Heyman’s promo and WWE later announced that Goldberg would be appearing next week on the Halloween special edition of Monday Night Raw.
