PKL player Rohit Kumar & family accused of provoking wife to commit suicide; taken into custody

ROHIT KUMAR, kabaddi player for Pro Kabaddi League Bengaluru Bulls and also for the national team has been arrested after his wife Lalita Dabas committed suicide. The 27-year-old was found dead at her apartment in Nangloi, Delhi.

She left a note that accuses of Rohit and his family of provoking her. As reported in Indian Express, her father alleges that Rohit and family were demanding for an SUV even after presenting a Sedan at the time of marriage.

Talking to Hindustan Times, her father Karan Dabas said,

"On the wedding day, Rohit’s parents had demanded a diesel-run Fortuner and more money."

Reports after this incident stated that Rohit was not to be found anywhere but then he released a four minute video on Facebook pleading innocence. He also said that he will cooperate with the police.

At present, he is taken under custody for further interrogation. The PKL player joined the Indian Navy in 2009 and was on duty when the incident took place.
