Play-by-Play: Pune make late comeback to get a draw out of Kerala Blasters at home after conceding early

AFTER GOING DOWN early in the game, Pune City managed to find a second half equalizer to come back and salvage one point from their home match against Kerala Blasters.

The Stallions got stung before they had settled into the game. An early corner from Mehtab Hossain found Mahamat who took the shot, the ball came off a defender and reached Cedric Hengbart who slotted it home. Going down so early it took a while for Pune to re-group and re-organize themselves. They ended the first half 0-1 down.

But pressure from the home team's midfield kept building until it bore fruit 67 minutes in. Lucca's cross to Sissoko saw the marquee medio shoot straight at the goal. The ball took a deflection off Aaroh Hughes and went striaght into the goal.

Both teams got chances but in the end the match ended tied at 1-1. Neither team would be too happy with this result as both were looking for a win to give their respective campaign a boost.

Kerala Blasters now have 5 points from 5 games and they are 5th in the table. Pune City have 4 points from 5 games and they remain 7th on the table.
