I would love to take on a 'world-class' bowler like Bhuvneshwar someday: Warner

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD captain David Warner lauded teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar, touting the IPL’s highest wicket-taker to be a world-class bowler. As reported by PTI, the Aussie skipper in the post-match press conference said,

“Obviously Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar) is in and out of the Indian team, but he is a world-class bowler. With the new ball as an opening batsman I would like to come up against him on a wicket like this because he sets the tone from ball one.”

The India paceman claimed the purple cap in the ninth edition of the cash-rich tournament. The seamer with his impeccable line and length picked up 23 wickets in 17 matches with a best of 29 for 4. Kumar also remained one of most economical bowlers of the season along with teammate Mastafizur Rahman.

Speaking about Bhuvneshwar’s abilities and passion for the game, Warner concluded saying he had immense faith in him.

“I have got utmost faith in him (Bhuvneshwar) and the way he plays his cricket. He is passionate. He loves the game and, I always rely on him towards the end.”
