Marcus Stoinis heads home from IPL citing personal issues

KXIP CRICKETER MARCUS STOINIS has become the latest overseas professional to leave the IPL citing “personal unavoidable circumstances”.

The Aussie all-rounder is the sixth Australian player to have left the tournament midway, following the likes of Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, John Hastings, Shaun Marsh and Glenn Maxwell.

Stoinis scored 146 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 135.18 and picked up eight wickets in seven games. His most notable performance came against Delhi Daredevils when he scored a 44 ball 52 and returned to pick three wickets.
