150 fans asked to leave Wankhede stadium for carrying 'fake' tickets for MI v KKR game

AS WE HAVE SEEN IN THE PAST, fake tickets are marquee tournaments are no stranger to each other. Given the constant demand and hunger for match tickets, the supply of fake tickets is almost inevitable. 

And, during Mumbai’s last match at home against Kolkata Knight Riders, around 150 fans were asked to leave the premises after they produced fake tickets. 

As reported by PTI, an official of Mumbai Indians said that this untoward incident happened at gate no.4 Sachin Tendulkar stand, which were priced between Rs 1500-2000. 

"The franchise takes utmost precaution on the ticket quality control. Yesterday's incident was unfortunate," he said.

The official further added, 

"We urge the fans to always buy genuine tickets from authorised points of sale -- Book my Show, Reliance outlets and the counter at Gate number two of the stadium," the official said, adding those with fake tickets had bought them from 'unauthorised people'.
