India's campaign ended at the China Masters GPG

INDIAN SHUTTLERS exit the China Master Grand Prix Gold after losing their quarter final matches.

Men's singles shuttler HS Prannoy lost to top seed Chen Long. The first game was an easy win for the Chinese, 21-10. In the second game, the seventh seed Indian fought back and tried to take the match into a decider but the World No. 1 wouldn't allow Prannoy to take the points easily. Prannoy finally succumbed to defeat 15-21.

The women's doubles duo Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa too lost to top seeds Chinese Luo Ying/Luo Yu. Without much difficulty Ying/Yu took the match result in their favour 21-11, 21-14.

Women's singles shuttler PV Sindhu was left stunned after Porntip Buranaprasertsuk from Thailand defeated her in straight games, 17-21, 19-21. The Indian had a dominating lead in the head-to-head count and therefore had an upper chance but Porntip was the better player who deserved to win.
