Parupalli Kashyap feels positive after undergoing successful knee surgery

MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER PARUPALLI KASHYAP underwent a knee surgery yesterday in Mumbai. He has been out of action for a long time due to a series of injuries. In October last year, he picked up a knee injury while playing at the French Open which forced him out of action for two months.

He returned to court for the Premier Badminton League in January and then played at the India GPG in Lucknow where he lost out in the quarter-finals. He was not at his best due to an abdominal strain. He then returned to action only at the German Open but the knee injury again haunted him and he had to bow out of it at the pre-quarters.

Since then he has been out of action which has cost him a berth in the Rio Olympics. He finally had to undergo the knee surgery which included three steps, removal of loose body, cleansing of lateral Meniscus flap tear and smoothening of cartilage. He has shared the posts on social media from his hospital bed.

He seems to be happy after the surgery and his fans can expect him to be back in action fully fit.
