Celebratory firing at Jadeja's wedding leads to police inquiry

ALL-ROUNDER RAVINDRA JADEJA'S marriage to mechanical engineer Riva Solanki created a minor controversy as a guest opened celebratory fire in the air which led to a police inquiry.

Jadeja who wore a 'Sherwani' and 'Kathiawadi saafa', riding a horse, a sword dangling by his side, looked dapper as he appeared for the marriage ceremony, whilst Riva  looked resplendent in a red and golden bridal lehenga with ethnic Gujarati embroidery.

During the ceremony, one of Jadeja's relatives opened fire in the air with his revolver which instigated the police inquiry.

As reported by PTI, Rajkot Superintendent of Police Antrip Sood said,

"We have initiated inquiry to find if the revolver used was licenced or not. We will decide on taking action after investigation."

Jadeja's Gujarat Lions' teammates Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo were among the guests present for the marriage reception, who wished him good luck.
