Chinglensana Singh to complete 100 caps for India at Sultan Azlan Cup

INDIA'S MATCH AGAINST AUSTRALIA in the final of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup will see midfielder Chinglensana Singh complete 100 international caps.

The 24-year-old from Manipur made his international debut in 2011 during the FIH Champions Challenge in South Africa. Since then, he has been an integral part of the squad, winning a silver at the Asia Cup (2013) and Commonwealth Games (2014), bronze at the HWL finals last year, and gold at the Asian Games in Incheon (2014).

Congratulating him, Md. Mushtaque Ahmad, Secretary General, Hockey India said,

“Chinglensana has been a part of the core group of Indian hockey for a long while and has made an immense contribution to the team, since his debut. I wish him the best, for all the future games and hope he continues to shine for the team.”

India take on Australia in the final at 18:15 pm on Saturday, 16 April.
