Srikanth, Ajay climb up the rankings ladder while Prannoy & Kashyap keep sliding down

INDIAN MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLERS Kidambi Srikanth and Ajay Jayaram can breathe a sigh of relief after they climbed up the rankings ladder despite losing in the opening round of the Malaysia Open Super Series last week. Srikanth moved one spot up to 14 and Ajay moved three places up to 21 according to the latest BWF World ranking released on Thursday.

Meanwhile, HS Prannoy slipped one place below to 23 and Parupalli Kashyap who skipped tournaments due to injury is now ranked 20th.

On the other hand, women's singles shuttlers Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu maintained their positions at World No. 8 and World No.10 respectively.

Indian men's doubles pair of Manu Attri /B Sumeeth Reddy dipped a place to 20 while women's doubles duo of Jwala of Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa remained at the 15th spot.
