ISL teams finally get started on academies; Atletico de Kolkata, Delhi Dynamos call for trials

ISL FRANCHISES are now taking steps towards building academies; something that will allow them to fulfill AFC regulations and become real football clubs by the time ISL and I-League is merged.

Atletico de Kolkata have announced that four of their coaches will be in town to oversee trials of kids of various age and enroll them in their academy once it is set up. Jose Ramires Barreto, the former Mohun Bagan player who is now working with the acadmey run by Reliance Foundations, is also expected to be present at the event.

And Delhi Dynamos, too, are getting work done on that front. They have called for trials for kids born on 2004 and 2005. They too will have an academy up and running by the time they are required to become a real football club that participates in actual talent development.
