TFG Fantasy Pundit: Pick more batsmen from Scotland, but draft all-rounders from Afghanistan

Overview

Scotland and Afghanistan will lock horns in the second match of the ICC World T20 qualifiers tomorrow at Nagpur.

The top-order batting of Afghanistan is a little wobbly as compared to the Scots. Therefore, pick more of the all-rounders from Afghanistan and more top-order batsmen from Scotland.

On the bowling front, try having a good balance team comprising of bowlers from both sides.

Our probable 11 that could take to the field

SCO- Peter Mommsen, Callum Mcleod, Kyle Coetzer, Mathew Cross, Richie Berrington, Mark Watt, Safyaan Sharif, Matt Machan, Alasdair Evans, Josh Davey, Micheal Leask

AFGH- Mohammad  Nabi, Dawlat Zadran, Usman Ghani, Mohammad Shehzad, Rashid Khan, Gulbadin Naib, Karim Sadiq, Amir Hamza, Asghar Stanikzai, Samiullah Shenwari, Shapoor Zadran

Players who cannot be ignored for this round

Mohammad Nabi- The Afghani skipper will play a key role with the bat in the middle order and will also operate with the ball to break partnerships.

Kyle Coetzer- Expect the Scot to come out all guns blazing at the top of the order.

Dawlat Zadran- He has been a consistent seamer for his side by picking up wickets regularly. Leave him out at your own peril.

Dark Horses

Mark Watt- This left-arm spinner has been amongst the wickets for Scotland lately and even bowled beautifully in the warm-up games.

Rashid Khan- He is a handy leggie who bowls during the middle overs. He is a clever operator who doesn’t give away too many runs. He is likely to help you with some handy fantasy points.

TFG PUNDIT XI: Mohammad Nabi (c), Alasdair Evans, Kyle Coetzer, Rashid Khan, Karim Sadiq, Mohammad Shehzad (vc), Dawlat Zadran, Richie Berrington, Peter Mommsen, Callum Mcleod, Mark Watt
