OVERVIEW

For this round of fantasy cricket between India and Sri Lanka, it is important you pick the top order batsmen from India. 

Also, the Lankans have lost their game against the hosts and that could prompt them to change their playing 11 a bit. 

Pick most of the Indian bowlers too, they are in the middle of a decent run with the ball. Malinga's fitness remains a concern. 

Here's our probable 11 that could take to the field. 

INDIA: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Ravi Ashwin, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah 

SRI LANKA: Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Milinda Siriwardena, Shehan Jayasuriya, Chamara Kapugedara, Dusmantha Chameera, Rangana Herath, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga/Thisara Perera, Vandersay 

Players who cannot be ignored for this round 

Kohli- He loves playing against Sri Lanka and given the current form he is in, it would be a cardinal sin to ignore him. 

Nehra- Swing and movement is what the left arm bowler has been thriving on lately. This is the time to slot him in your fantasy teams. 

Mathews- He could once again lead his team in Malinga's absence. He is likely to open the bowling and will also play a key role with the willow. 

Dark Horses 

Hardik Pandya- He has quietly gone about his business with both bat and ball. He is likely to be cheaply priced and can certainly give your fantasy teams the edge. 
Dusmantha Chammera- He has pace, bounce and has been amongst the wickets regularly. He bowled superbly against the Indians in recently concluded bilateral series between the two teams.  

TFG Pundit XI: V Kohli (C), Mathews (VC), Chameera, Nehra, Pandya, R Ashwin, J Bumrah, Chandimal, Raina Rohit, Jayasuriya  

EDIT NO.1: Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are nursing injuries due to which they might not play in this game. Therefore, we haven't picked them in our fantasy XI. Lankan skipper Malinga too is in doubt and we have left him out as well. Take chances at your own peril. 

EDIT NO.2 (1/3/2016) (4.30 IST): Yesterday, the BCCI said that Rohit and Dhawan were injured and their participation for the Lankan game was in doubt. However, early in the morning, today, both players were declared fit for the game. Considering this, we have made changes to our fantasy pundit XI. 

FANTASY PUNDIT TOP PERFORMERS (1/3/2016) 

As mentioned in our above column, once again our captain Virat Kohli was the best pick in yesterday's fantasy round. Kohli played a match winning innings of (56). On the bowling front, Nehra, Ashwin, Bumrah and Pandya were all amongst the wickets for India.
