Sindhu enters the final while Srikanth ousted from the Malaysia Masters GPG

PV SINDHU qualifies for the finals of the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold after defeating the top seed Sung Ji Hyun of Korea 21-19, 12-21, 21-10 at the Spice Arena on Saturday.

The third-seeded Indian now has increased the head-to-head count to 4-2 against the Korean. It wasn't an easy outing for the young Indian shuttler as Sung was playing with high intensity. A hard fought first game was won by Sindhu but the Korean fought back to take the match into the decider.

The final game of the match was dominated by the 20-year-old as she finally won the game to progress ahead. Sindhu would look to continue her impressive run and win the title for the second time after winning the first one in 2013.

In the final she will face Kirsty Gilmour of Scotland and the latter holds the edge by 1-0 in the head-to-head count.

On the other hand men's singles shuttler Kidambi Srikanth was ousted in straight games 25-27, 9-21 by Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin of Malaysia.
