Yuvraj expected Gayle to hit 50 off 10 balls, surprised at Jamaican for equalling the record

NORMALLY AS SPORTMAN, you don’t like to see your records being equaled or broken. But Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh thinks differently and sees the funny side of it. After West Indian great Chris Gayle equaled Yuvraj’s record for fastest fifty (12 balls) in T20 yesterday in a Big Bash game, the Punjab batsman came out by saying that he was surprised at Gayle not surpassing his record.

Yuvraj’s 6 sixes in an over off Stuart Broad in 2007 World T20 in Durban will be etched in memory of every Indian cricket fan. And, it was the same match where he also set the record for fastest 50 in T20.

Considering Gayle's belligerence and his ability to create new landmarks in T20 cricket, Yuvraj's expectation of Gayle reaching the landmark in 10 balls is rather justified.
