#TFGtake: Predictions for ISL Round 6 -- Expect a couple of upsets as leaders flounder
PREDICTING MATCH OUTCOMES in a 8-team tournament with little much separating the teams is an especially tricky business. There's very little difference in quality between the major forces in the tournament. A fitting demonstration of that is the fact that the top 4 teams in the points table are separated by just one point. In such a scenario, we have excelled in not just providing a clear idea of how any match will pan out, but also reaching the correct conclusion.
In the previous Round, where we expected the Dark Horses to finally start making a mark, it was heartening to see the trend actually fructify. In the Mumbai City vs Delhi Dynamos match, we predicted at a turnaround by the home side, earning them at least a draw. Well they did that and more, going on to earn a 2-0 win against Carlos's boys. In the next match, though Kerala Blasters made a good start they lost out on a win by a brilliant comeback led by Moura and Arnolin's goals that saw FC Goa win 2-1. NorthEast United really matched up to our analysis and managed to get a 1-0 win over defending champions Atletico de Kolkata, and while it was no surprise that Chennaiyin FC would be a force to reckon with at home, our take on how FC Pune would fare in their first match away from hone is what was more important. Watch out for the Dark Horses, we said. And the dark horses came and delivered, in style.
Now, with that kind of reputation to to live up to, we venture to call the games of Round 6. With the title race thickening and teams starting to have their own days of shine, things are only getting tougher. This round has a double-header for the Mumbaikars, both at home.
