#ThankYouSehwag: Check who had the best seat while the Nawab batted
INDIA BATSMAN Virender Sehwag drew curtains on his 14-year long international career on Tuesday, after he made the announcement from his official handle on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
With great retirements come great tributes, and when it comes to the "Nawab of Najafgarh", things only get bigger and better. The internet was taken over by emotional tributes to the swashbuckling opener who has been hailed as the greatest modern-day attacking batsman in Indian cricket. Sehwag has also quit the IPL, and will be participating only in the MCL 2020 tournament slated to be played in January/February next year.
Below is a compilation of tributes from ex-teammates young and old, cricketing boards, and former opponents. Each tribute speaks volumes of the flamboyant opener and an exponent of 'see ball, hit ball' that defined the most part of his fantastic career.
.@virendersehwag leaves his signature on the game with his tremendous achievements. Loved his instinctive approach to batting & life. 1/2
