THE MUMBAI INDIANS beat the Rising Pune Supergiant by one run in the finals of IPL-10 at Hyderabad. It was a final over thriller that gave Rohit Sharma’s men their first win against the Pune franchise in four matches played this season.
Mumbai had finished at top of the points table after losing just four games in the league stages. With back-to-back wins and consistent performances, MI looked like a serious contender since the start of the edition. And, despite losing the first qualifier at Wankhede, the franchise went on to beat KKR and RPS, to eventually become the most successful team in IPL history.
