Zaheer Khan likely to be ruled out of the remainder of IPL with hamstring injury

DELHI DAREDEVILS skipper Zaheer Khan is unlikely to play in the remainder of IPL 10 due to a hamstring injury.

Zaheer had suffered the injury during DD’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. As reported by PTI, the Delhi franchise announced that the India veteran will miss the next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2. However, considering DD’s crammed schedule, Zaheer’s age and his past problems with the hamstring, it is unlikely that Zaheer will be able to recover in time.

"Zaheer will be missing the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad tomorrow due to the hamstring strain that he suffered during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders but he is unlikely to make a comeback. He will have little time to recover from the strain due to the hectic schedule of IPL. Karun Nair will be the stand-in captain for tomorrow."

The 38-year-old had also missed Delhi’s last game against Kings XI Punjab.
