Happy with the result, this is a great way to prepare ourselves for Fed Cup: Ranjan Choudhury

EAST BENGAL finished the season on a high as they thrashed Mumbai FC 4-0 at the latter's home on Saturday night.

Coach Ranjan Choudhury had said in the pre-match conference that this match would be a preparation for the upcoming Federation Cup.

At the post match, he maintained his stand and was happy with the result.

"I did mention that this would a preparatory session for us and happy that it turned out to be such a good result at the end."

He further added,

"This was a much needed boost for the team and the boys have done well and are pumped up for the Fed Cup."

Man of the match Bikash Jairu was present too, he echoed his coach's words,

"Happy with the way I played and would love to continue the same performance in the Fed Cup too."

After all that happened on and off the field for East Bengal, finishing third on the points table is a good result indeed.
