"He is doing well. He is in the hospital currently and will be discharged soon and will go home"

On his views about the game against Mumbai FC said,

"It's an important match and also a preparation match for the Federation Cup. Away matches are always tough but we are confident that we can take all three points"

Asked if Christopher Payne has been released by the club, replied in the negative saying he was still with the club.

Coach was asked if there was any injuries in the squad and shared,

"We have come with 18 players and all are fit"

Defender Rahul Bheke was present along side coach Ranjan. He was quizzed on what were his learning from the season and he said,

"We had a great season. At the start we did very well and then we had a couple of disappointing games. There after we were going down. But tomorrow is the last game of the I-League and we are looking to finish it on a positive note and looking forward to the Federation Cup"

On being asked about his feeling playing against his former team Mumbai FC, Rahul was clear that his focus is playing for the jersey he wears currently and said,

"Yes Mumbai FC has been my former home but now, since I am with East Bengal, my focus is to get all three points tomorrow"

Sparing a thought for Mumbai FC's relegation, Bheke said he feels sad that the only team from Mumbai has to depart. He continued saying,

"I feel bad for Mumbai football. There is only one team (from Mumbai) and its going down. May be there won't be any team from Mumbai and it is not good for Mumbai football"
