Delhi Daredevils acquire Marlon Samuels as a replacement for injured Quinton de Kock

DELHI DAREDEVILS have picked Jamaican all-rounder Marlon Samuels as a replacement for injured Quinton de Kock. The franchise had lost the South African wicket-keeper batsman before the start of the 10th edition of IPL.

Samuels, who has previously played for the now defunct Pune Warriors, was a part of the IPL players auction this year. However, he failed to attract any bid during the event. The 36-year-old has played 55 T20Is and has been one of the heroes of West Indies’ World T20 victory.

Having won just two in six games, DD is placed seventh in the rankings table. The management will look to make the most of Samuels’ inclusion in the squad. The franchise is set to play league-leaders Kolkata Knight Riders on April 28 at Eden Gardens.
