First choice Minerva Punjab keeper Arnab Das walks out of the team

LONG-STANDING KEEPER FOR MINERVA PUNJAB FC has walked away from the team camp. The recent game between Minerva Punjab FC and East Bengal saw Arshdeep Singh play in his third game of the season. Minerva Punjab lost the game to East Bengal FC, although they had plenty of good opportunites to score from. The young Arshdeep was seen fumbling at easy catches and hesitation to go for the saves.

A casual question by a fan to Ranjit Bajaj on not having the first choice keeper Arnab Das in goal had Bajaj reply saying the better answer to the question could be come Arnab himself as he had left without any notice.

29 year-old Arnab Das Sharma has started for Minerva Punjab FC on 11 occasions and has experience of I-League with clubs like Mohun Bagan and Salgaocar SC. Bajaj went on to say that there was neither any argument or disagreement between him and anyone in the camp that caused him to leave all of a sudden.

This is again, just one side of the story as no word is received from the outgoing keeper.

Earlier in the season, another player Jewel Raja, too walked away in similar abrupt fashion.

Minerva's last game of their debut I-league season will be on April 30 at 4:30 pm away against DSK Shivajians.
