Play-by-Play: DSK Shivajians beat a feeble East Bengal at Barasat

SHIVAJIANS WERE ON THE FRONT FOOT from the kick off and the eventual goal scorer Thanga misses a couple of good chances to give his side the lead. East Bengal never looked like they had the desire to win the game. They co-ordination was lacking, balls played into spaces were not anticipated, passing was not happening at the quality that was expected from Title aimers.

The goal came via a short corner taken and Quero floated a long ball to an open 'Thanga who had all the time needed to make the decision to guide the ball over the keeper with his first touch. The away side kepe pressing at the Red and Gols even after the goal but East Bengal never threatened. Only a few chances that came EB's way were well blocked by Subrata who looked is great shap under the bar.

The second half was a charged East bengal when they took thee field. They had more intent, looked sharper, culd hold the possession for longer spells and did put on a quality show.. Subrata again was brilliant with the gloves. in the end, a comfortable victory for Shivajians thanks to a great performance by Subrata.
