Play-by-Play: A game of missed opportunities as Mumbai and Churchill play a goalless draw

IT WAS THE FIRST GAME IN CHARGE for the new Mumbai FC coach Oscar Bruzon. Both teams were looking to secure victories to get the some relaxation from relagation.

It was a cautious game from Churchill at the start but Mumbai were on the attack from the beginning. Mumbai FC mostly played on the flanks as the Churchill central defence guarded by Adil Khan was well anchored to hold their ground. Churchill picked up pace later in the first half.

Kromah and Wolfe were kept away from the penalty area for a long time. Mumbai had a few chances to test the keeper but even with the most possession did not create clear opportunities. Mumbai hit the crossbar once and Lyngdoh had a gloriuos chance that he missed to put the visitors ahead. Apart from that Mumbai came close when long distance shot went inches away from goal.
