Everything went wrong in the second half of the game against KKR, says Dinesh Karthik

AFTER A 10 WICKET DRUBBING by Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Lions wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik opined that his side did not perform up to the mark in the second half of the game.

Karthik showered praise on the Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir for chasing down 184 in just 14.5 overs. As reported by Cricketcountry, he said,

“I think after the first half, everything went wrong in the second half. I don’t think, you know, we were up to the mark. I think Gambhir and Lynn batted beautifully. Both of them batted exceptionally well. Some of the shots they played were mind-blogging.”

Karthik had no hesitation saying that the Gujarat franchise missed the services of Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo, who were their go-to bowlers in the ninth edition of the cash-rich league.

“Jadeja and Bravo are irreplaceable. I mean, they are quality cricketers. Obviously if they had been there, they would have made a difference.”
