BRAGGART BANTER: You are still my first wicket, Dhoni tells Pietersen 

THE SECOND GAME OF IPL 10 which was played between Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians witnessed a lot of action on the field as well as in the commentary box. 

The match which ended in a final over thriller saw viewers and players enjoy a fun banter between MS Dhoni and Kevin Pietersen. After RPS lost the loss and took the field against Mumbai Indians (MI), Pietersen and co-commentator Pommie Mbangwa were in conversation with Manoj Tiwary, who was wired up, in the 2nd over.

Initially, both Mbangwa and Pietersen asked Tiwary about his IPL preparations, his fitness and MI opener Jos Buttler. Mid-way into the conversation, former England skipper asked Tiwary to convey the message to Dhoni that he was a better golfer than the Ranchi-lad. As reported by OneIndia, Pietersen told Tiwary, 

"Mate, can you do me a favour. Can you just whisper in MS' (Dhoni) ear that I am a better golfer than him, please!"

To which, Tiwary, who was fielding at first slip, next to Dhoni, quickly conveyed Pietersen's message to Dhoni, in Hindi. 

"Bhaiyya (brother), Kevin Pietersen bhol raha hain it woh aap se better golfer hain." 

Speaking into Tiwary’s earpiece, Dhoni quipped, 

"He is still my 1st Test wicket."

Listening to Dhoni’s reply, the entire commentary box broke into laughter. KP gracefully defended himself saying that the decision was overturned after a DRS call. 

"It was a referral (DRS), not out. It is wonderful when you get real good people on the mic. You got the players there and you get some great stuff. Well done mate. Love you."

During the India tour of England in 2011, Dhoni had swapped wicket-keeping for bowling and had claimed Pietersen’s wicket. However, the English batsman used DRS to stay on and score a unbeaten 202.
