Virat Kohli

Kohli sustained a shoulder injury while trying to save a boundary during the Ranchi Test and missed the final Test in Dharamsala. His absence is undoubtedly a huge blow to the Bangalore franchise. Although the extent of his injury is still not known, he is likely to be replaced with promising batsman Sarfaraz Khan for the initial stages. On the captaincy front, ABD has been named as the skipper in Kohli's absence.
