Invicta FC 22 results: Tonya Evinger chokes out Yana Kunitskaya

AFTER THEIR FIRST fight ended in controversy, Tonya Evinger and Yana Kunitskaya settled the scores at Invicta FC 22. Tonya Evinger was crowned the undisputed Invicta FC Bantamweight champion after she choked out Kunitskaya in the second round.

Kunitskaya was declared the winner in the first fight back in November but the decision was overturned and the rematch was booked after an appeal from Evinger.

In the co-main event, Renata Souza defeated Ayaka Hamasaki via TKO in the first round itself when Jodie Esquibel also got a commanding win over DeAnna Bennett via split decision.

“To be honest, I didn’t feel good that whole fight. I felt really slow and sluggish. Bad performance. She was stronger than I thought. I just wish I’d finished her earlier and done it in more devastating fashion.” Evinger said after the win.
